Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
:. Must have English language competence to undertake
this programme which is taught and assessed in English.
:. Any applicant whose first language is not English
must provide evidence of an overall IELTS band score
of 5.5 or approved equivalent Have equivalent academic
achievement
and/or
:. Have relevant industry or related work experience
Domestic
Applicants
must meet the following entry requirements:
:. Have at least 52 NQF credits at Level 2 or higher
including 4 credits at Level 2 in each of reading/writing
and mathematics or
:. Have a National Certificate equivalent to Level
3 or higher or
:. Have relevant work experience and a strong commitment
to the programme

this programme which is taught and assessed in English.

Summary
This
programme comprises 18 units. It provides a current
working understanding in Food, Beverage and Accommodation
Management related Industry and is designed to meet
all the skills required for these industries
It includes the following:

• Food safety, food service & customer
care
• Theoretical & practical understanding
of culinary trends, alcoholic & non- alcoholic
beverages
• Hospitality and Tourism.
• Effective planning and organisational management
• Knowledge & application of legislative
requirements of sales of liquor
• Preparation for general manager’s
certificate
• Principles of marketing and its application
to enterprise activities
• Know-how for effective management of commercial
accommodation and food & beverage establishments
• Personal Skills and expertise required in
these industries:
